You will, no doubt, be working with some highly experienced and professional people.
Establishing yourself amongst them is vital to your development. Even though you are still learning, there is an opportunity for you to discuss character education and why you think it is important.
Here are two practical ways to help establish yourself and your approach to character education
finding a role model
Find a teacher role-model and talk to them about ideas you may have or ask them to explain how they deal with moral and ethical issues in school.
Read the behaviour and values policies
Understand the behaviour and values policies that the school has. Ask yourself how these align with your beliefs and philosophies. Think about what you could add to them or help them be developed for the benefit of the pupils and teachers.
